Berlin is the capital of Germany. The parliament is located in this city. As a city state Berlin is an independent federal state and is the center of the metropolitan region Berlin / Brandenburg. Berlin is the city with the highest population and biggest area in Germany. If it comes to population it is even the 2nd biggest city in the European Union.
There are many sights and great cultural offerings. Visit the Bundestag, the German house of parliament, the famous Berlin television tower or the Brandenburg Gate.
